Fifth Skating Lesson with My Daughter

I had fifth skating lesson with my daughter at Dongnae Icerink in Busan. She is going to used to be on ice more and it seems to enjoy it. But I had to push her a little to get enough practice.

We did:
March forward
March and glide
Swizzle
Backward wiggle
Forward two foot glide
Dip
Forward stroking
Backward march (holding my hands)

I have some job offers around my IT profession these days, but I hesitate because of worring that my skating time will be reduced due to work.

Youth Sports Instructor

New certification system for sports instructor including Youth Sports Instructor has begun this year in Korea. So I will take an exam for it although I already have a certificate of Sport for All in figure skating. I'm not sure whether I need the new one to teach young skaters, but I think education course might be helpful.
Test for skating skills has been more difficult than the former but I fortunately bypass it as certificated already. But there also will be an interview which test some theories like generation of ATP and/or angular momentum so I am certainly studying biology and physics.
I also post the notes on my Naver blog for somebody who is interested. That reinforces my understanding of these subjects.

Practicing Jumps

After testing Google Translate gadget newly added on the side of my blog, I decided that my own writing in English is better than poorly translated one. Writing in English may help to share my story with more people on the globe.

I practiced some jumps at private class:

  • Single Axel
  • Double Toe Loop
  • Double Loop

Though landed with two foot all of them, I feel that there is a little progress.

I also practiced loop figures. It's hard to change edge between inside/outside loops.
